Why You Shouldn't Ask Why
Monday Aug 02, 2021
Monday Aug 02, 2021
Asking “why?” can unintentionally trap you in blame and frustration—whether it's "Why did I mess that up?" or "Why am I the only one who loads the dishwasher?"
This episode explores how the word why often leads us down a negative, unhelpful path. Instead, we look at how reframing with what and how—like “What could I do differently?”—can open up problem-solving and shift you out of victim mode. It’s about clearer communication, especially when others don't realise you’re silently stewing. Don’t assume people know you’re annoyed—tell them. And stop having a pity party with yourself when there’s a better way forward.
Want more mindset tools that actually work? Check out the self-study courses on the website—they're practical, low-cost, and full of these kinds of lightbulb moments.

The Power of Reflection
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Reflection isn’t about guilt, regret, or beating yourself up - it’s about learning.
In this episode, we explore how looking back at your business plans, life goals, or everyday choices with casual curiosity can help you move forward with clarity. Reflection becomes a tool for growth when you stop asking, “What did I do wrong?” and instead ask, “What did I learn?” It’s also a powerful way to track progress over time—especially if you’re feeling stuck or off track. The goal is not perfection, but awareness.
This kind of honest, non-judgmental check-in can highlight exactly where you’re bumping into yourself.
Want more tools to help you reflect, reset, and refocus? My book and self-study courses are packed with bite-sized, practical exercises to help you keep moving forward.

What Is A Life Coach & How Can They Help You?
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
This episode was inspired by a conversation with someone who said, “Life coaching is just for posh people who want to whinge and talk about themselves.” Honestly? I used to hold a bit of that belief too. I’ve even struggled to call myself a life coach because of the assumptions people make. But the truth is, life coaching is none of that fluff. It’s about helping you get clear, stay on track, and work out why you're not doing the things you say you want to do.
As your coach, I ask the questions that help you dig deeper, explore the blocks, and figure out where you keep bumping into yourself. I’m also here to hold you accountable - not in a harsh way, but with honesty and support. If you’re stuck, circling the same old problems, or just need someone neutral to talk things through with, that’s where life coaching makes all the difference.

Change - Is It Good or Bad? Terrifying or Exciting?
Thursday Aug 05, 2021
Thursday Aug 05, 2021
Change can feel exciting… or absolutely terrifying. In this episode, we explore why change affects people so differently - and how to manage it in a way that feels less overwhelming. I talk about how important it is to understand your personal change threshold - that tipping point where excitement turns into panic.
Rather than diving in headfirst, I suggest breaking change down into steps. That might mean planning more carefully, easing into it, and recognising that pushing out of your comfort zone doesn’t have to mean losing control. Even something like getting back into driving can be managed in stages: get in the car one day, start it up the next, then just drive round the block.
It’s all about recognising where you bump into yourself, and putting systems in place to help you move forward without burning out. Change doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful - and it doesn’t have to be scary to be worth doing.

Visualisations & What Is The 'Why' Behind Them?
Friday Aug 06, 2021
Friday Aug 06, 2021
If your dreams and goals feel distant or hazy, this episode is for you. Visualisation isn’t just a fluffy, feel-good concept - it’s a powerful tool for motivation and clarity. In this episode, I talk about how regularly mentally placing yourself in the life you want helps to keep you focused, grounded, and energised.
I also introduce a term I’ve coined - bodilisation. It’s about feeling the emotional and physical sensations of achieving your goal. Not just seeing it, but really embodying it: how would it feel in your body? What would it taste like, smell like, sound like? It’s a bit like mental rehearsal, and it’s one of the most effective ways to prime yourself for success.
The second key component is figuring out your why. Why are you working toward this goal? Why do you want this life? If your “why” isn’t truly yours - if it’s filled with justifications or other people’s expectations - you’ll constantly feel out of step. I share a personal example of this and explain why knowing and owning your real why is crucial to keeping your visualisation meaningful and motivating.

Jack of All Trades, Master of None? Rubbish!
Monday Aug 09, 2021
Monday Aug 09, 2021
Ever felt like you're doing too many things? Worried you’re not focusing enough or not being “expert” enough in one area? You’re not alone - and it’s nonsense.
This episode tackles the outdated idea that being a “jack of all trades” means you’re somehow falling short. The truth? Having a broad skill set is a strength, not a weakness. Once upon a time, being multi-talented was revered. These days, we’re obsessed with labels and pigeonholes - and if you don’t fit in one, people get twitchy. That’s their problem, not yours.
I also share a story about a work meeting where people shifted from being chatty and human to robotic and “professional” the moment it started - and why that kind of role-playing does none of us any favours. This episode is a reminder that being curious, creative, and complex is something to embrace. If you want to try something new—do it. If your business or life path has layers - brilliant. You don’t need to fit anyone’s tidy definition to be successful, valuable, or authentic.
If you need some help to punch your way out of the box life has shoved you in, there's a contact form on the home page of my website - let's shake things up!

Getting In Your Own Way: Creating From Panic Doesn't Work!
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Ever found yourself spiralling after seeing someone else’s success online? In this episode, I share how I fell into the trap of panic-creating — overcomplicating my work after spotting a competitor’s post on social media. The irony? We weren’t even competing for the same clients.
When we act from panic, we disconnect from what’s truly ours. We start overthinking, overplanning, and forcing ideas that don’t feel natural. It’s exhausting. And because those ideas aren’t aligned, we stall, procrastinate, or just don’t follow through.
This episode is about recognising when you're trying too hard — and learning to create from flow instead of fear. If you’re bumping into yourself trying to get things ‘just right’, this one's for you.
📍 If you enjoy these podcasts and want to go deeper, I coach via Zoom and work with clients around the world. My trainings are all online too – available as self-study or as part of a coaching package. So wherever you are, if you’re ready to make a change, I’d love to help. You’ll find all the details and a link to book a free call in the show notes below or on my website.

Rest & Reset: Take Time Out To Figure Out The Answers
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
When your mind is running at 100mph and your to-do list is longer than your arm, it’s tempting to believe you just need to push harder. But what if the real answer is to pause?
In this episode, I talk about how deliberately taking time out — even just 10 or 20 minutes — can act as a reset button when you're overwhelmed, overthinking, or feeling stuck. I share how my daily “siesta” isn’t just about napping, it’s about creating space for clarity and direction to emerge.
Sometimes, forcing the answer just doesn’t work. The solution often appears when you stop trying so hard and create calm in the chaos. If you’ve been panicking your way through your to-do list, this one’s for you.
🌍 I work with clients (everyday folk, just like you!) worldwide via Zoom, and all my trainings are available online – either as self-study or as part of a coaching package. So wherever you are, if you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to support you.

Remember, You Are Only Human!
Friday Aug 13, 2021
Friday Aug 13, 2021
This one’s your gentle reminder that you’re not a robot. You only have so much energy — and let’s be honest, only so much inclination — in a day.
We try to wear all the hats: perfect partner, ideal parent, model employee, brilliant business owner... and it’s exhausting. You don’t get a medal for burning yourself out. No gold stars, no applause. Just stress, fatigue, and frustration.
This episode is about giving yourself permission to be human. To ease off the pressure. To stop doing too much, and to chill a bit — because looking after you isn’t optional. It’s essential.
🌍 I work with clients (everyday folk, just like you!) worldwide via Zoom, and all my trainings are available online – either as self-study or as part of a coaching package. So wherever you are, if you’re ready to do the work, I’m ready to support you.

Feeling Uncomfortable: Why It Can Be A Good Thing
Monday Aug 16, 2021
Monday Aug 16, 2021
In this episode, I explore how stepping outside your comfort zone often brings discomfort — and why that’s actually a positive sign. When you feel uneasy or a bit scared, it usually means you’re pushing yourself to grow and try something new.
I share how I personally notice discomfort, like fidgeting or needing distractions, especially when I’m working on something important to me, like explaining my unique approach to working with horses. It’s tricky to put into words, but that discomfort is part of the process.
The key takeaway? Don’t let discomfort stop you. If what you’re doing matters to you, moving through that uneasy feeling will help you avoid future regrets.
