I got into brain training many years ago as a way of helping me overcome anxiety and self-doubt, specifically in relation to my time with my horse. Part of me would be excited about doing stuff with the horse, another part of me was terrified. It was like having two versions of me inside my head!
Understanding that the brain is not just one human thinking brain, but that it has irrational mammalian and reptilian parts to it made a huge difference to me and has done the same for so many of my clients. This is a very simplistic explanation of how the brain is put together and which part of it is responsible for the irrational reactions we sometimes have. There’s also some tips on how to deal with the responses so that the real, thinking you can have fun!
