Who Are You? (And why you need to find out)
Monday Jun 21, 2021
Monday Jun 21, 2021
Let’s be honest — most of us are walking around wearing labels we didn’t even choose. Wife. Mum. Employee. Boss. Caretaker. Chaos coordinator. Sound familiar?
In this first episode of How To Get Your Shit Together, we dig into why you need to figure out who you actually are — underneath all those titles. You’ll learn how to spot your real strengths, stop obsessing over fixing your “flaws,” and finally drop the pressure to be good at everything (spoiler: that’s impossible).
I’ll show you how to notice what lights you up vs. what drains the life out of you — and how society has it all backwards when it comes to growth and confidence.
This is your permission slip to stop being the version of you the world expects — and start becoming the version that feels right.
🎧 Perfect for: anyone feeling stuck, mislabelled, or itching to break out of the box they’ve been shoved into.

Who do you need to be today? What does your inner team have to say?
Tuesday Jun 22, 2021
Tuesday Jun 22, 2021
You’re not just one version of yourself. You’re made up of a whole inner team—your inner warrior, your carer, your wounded child, your badass business brain, and the visionary who dreams big.
This episode is all about learning to recognise those different personas, especially when the anxious, wounded part of you starts taking over. You’ll hear how I hold an “inner team meeting” (yep, really) to figure out who’s driving the bus when things get wobbly—and how to let the strongest parts of yourself take the lead when you need them most.
Whether you’re navigating fear, self-doubt, or just trying to get brave about showing up (like I did when recording this very podcast), this one will help you tune into your strengths, stop ignoring the wobbles, and move forward with clarity.
💬 Grab a brew, tune in, and let’s meet the many powerful you’s that make you whole.

Negative Thoughts & What To Do With Them
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Ever feel like your brain throws out the same old crap day after day? You’re not alone.
This episode is all about the sneaky negative thoughts and beliefs that float into your mind—ones that often have roots way back in the past but still manage to mess with your present. From “I’m not good enough” to “this’ll never work,” these thoughts creep in and shape how you show up in your life today.
But we’re not here to wallow. We’re here to get curious.
I’ll walk you through a simple (and slightly quirky) visualisation where your negative thoughts are rubber ducks bobbing past you on a river. Sounds daft, but stick with me. This process helps you slow things down, name what’s coming up, and figure out if it’s actually true—or just a bit of leftover BS from years ago.
You’ll learn how to gently challenge your doubts, spot self-sabotage when it strikes, and carve out 10 minutes a day to stop the negative spiral before it drags you under.

Gratitude, Positivity & How to Just Feel Bloody Content
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
Feel like life’s a bit of a grind sometimes? Like no matter what you do, contentment always feels just out of reach?
In this episode, we’re diving into positive psychology, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) tools, and why gratitude isn’t just woo-woo fluff — it’s your emotional toolkit.
You’ll learn how to:
Reframe negativity and stop spiralling into the doom loop
Build a deep inner “well of happiness” so you can bounce back faster from the crap days
Use simple language shifts to feel stronger, clearer, and way more grounded
Practice daily mindset flips — like turning “I hate this” into “I’m lucky I get to do this”
We’re not about toxic positivity here — you’re totally allowed to feel miserable, fed up, and done with it all. But with the right tools, you don’t have to stay there.
🧠 This is about building emotional resilience, rewiring your brain for the better, and learning to feel damn good without needing life to be perfect.

What is Mindfulness (Really)? And How to Actually Use It in Daily Life
Friday Jun 25, 2021
Friday Jun 25, 2021
Let’s get one thing straight: mindfulness isn’t just for cross-legged monks or people with too much time on their hands.
In this episode, I break down what mindfulness really means — and how you can weave it into your messy, busy, beautiful everyday life without needing incense or Himalayan bells.
We’re talking:
What true mindfulness is (hint: it’s not emptying your mind)
How being 100% present, even for 60 seconds, can change your whole day
The power of starting your morning with presence — dogs, morning cuppa, and all
Micro-mindfulness moments during lunch, work, walking, anything
How tuning into energy and your sixth sense makes you more emotionally aware
A simple mindful meditation exercise using just one word (like “serenity”)
🧠✨ It’s time to stop letting your brain run the show. You’ll learn how to slow things down, tap into what you actually want to feel, and get way better at being here instead of lost in a mental tumble dryer.

Getting to know your brain - and how it will help with doubt and anxiety
Monday Jun 28, 2021
Monday Jun 28, 2021
🧠 Meet your brain: reptilian, mammalian, and neocortex – and say hello to Amy, your overprotective inner drama queen.
Ever wondered why one part of you is raring to go while another is screaming “What if it all goes wrong?” In this episode, we break down the brain's key parts and how understanding them can help calm the chaos.
You'll meet your amygdala (aka Amy) — the stressy little voice in your head that fires off alarms even when there’s no real danger. Once you know who’s running the show in your brain, you can start choosing your responses instead of reacting out of habit.
This episode is perfect for anyone battling anxiety, overwhelm, or second-guessing everything. Learn how to take your power back by understanding the built-in wiring that’s meant to keep you safe — but often just keeps you stuck.
✨ Key themes:
-
The three parts of the brain and what they’re responsible for
-
Why you sometimes feel torn between “I want this” and “I can’t do this”
-
Understanding the role of the amygdala in fear, anxiety, and self-doubt
-
Tools to quiet your inner “Amy” and reduce reactionary thinking
🎧 Listen now and start turning brain chaos into calm control.

What Is Your Superpower — and Does It Work For or Against You?
Tuesday Jun 29, 2021
Tuesday Jun 29, 2021
🦸♀️ Not all superpowers are capes and hero landings. Some are invisibility… hiding your voice, your talents, your truth.
In this episode, I talk about how our so-called superpowers — like mine, invisibility — can quietly shape our lives. Maybe you hide to avoid conflict. Maybe you downplay your wins to avoid standing out. Maybe your “strength” is being your own biggest critic.
But what if that default behaviour isn’t really serving you anymore?
We dig into how to identify your personal “superpower” — and whether it’s actually helping you grow or just keeping you small. You’ll learn how to gently shift the inner habits that keep you stuck, start rewriting the stories you tell yourself, and finally own the qualities that make you actually powerful.
✨ In this episode:
-
How your strengths can turn into self-sabotage
-
Why invisibility, criticism, or people-pleasing might be your default
-
Small mindset shifts to reclaim your power
-
A challenge: Name 3 things you’re actually good at (harder than it sounds)
This one’s for anyone who’s tired of hiding, doubting, or dimming their light just to fit in.
🎧 Listen now and learn how to flip your default mode into something empowering.

Make Your Strengths Do the Hard Work — So It Doesn’t Feel So Bloody Hard
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
🎯 Let’s stop making life harder than it needs to be, yeah?
In this episode, we flip the usual narrative. Instead of battling your weaknesses or forcing yourself to be someone you’re not, I’ll show you how to lean into the strengths you already have — the ones that energise you and actually work for you.
For me, I’m strategic. I love to learn. So I use that to build my business, figure out tech, and make decisions. When you work with your strengths instead of against them, things don’t feel quite so uphill.
We talk about:
✔️ Getting your ideas and goals out of your head and onto paper
✔️ Spotting the gaps — and where your strengths can fill them
✔️ Knowing when to ask for help (yes, even you)
✔️ Breaking free from the two big fears: not being enough and not having enough
💭 Whether it’s your job, your goals, or that big scary dream you’ve been sitting on — your strengths can be the launchpad, not the roadblock.

Negative Self Talk or Being Honest?
Thursday Jul 01, 2021
Thursday Jul 01, 2021
Do you catch yourself saying things like “I’m just not good with money” or “I could never do that”? In this episode of How to Get Your Shit Together, we unpack the subtle difference between being self-aware and running a constant stream of negative self-talk.
I share my own long-held belief about money — where it came from, how it shaped my self-image, and how I learned to challenge it. We'll explore how historic labels (often absorbed in childhood or past experiences) still affect how you show up today — especially when it comes to decisions, opportunities, and resistance around change.
Are you being honest about a real struggle? Or are you stuck replaying a false narrative that no longer serves you? It’s time to question the old stories and find out.

Worrying & Wallowing – When It’s Useful and When It’s Holding You Back
Friday Jul 02, 2021
Friday Jul 02, 2021
We all wake up some days feeling totally out of sorts — anxious, grumpy, heavy with worry, or just plain fed up. This episode is your permission slip to feel all of it intentionally — and a guide to knowing when to take action and when to rest.
I talk through the difference between productive worry and spinning in circles, and how to check in with your “inner team” to figure out if you can do something or need to just park it. I also share a cheeky story about my horse who could sniff out when I was throwing a self-pity party (and wanted no part of it!).
And wallowing? Sometimes your body’s way of saying “please just STOP.” I’m not against wallowing — I’m for doing it consciously, with an end time and an exit plan.
If you're stuck in your head, burnt out, or giving yourself a hard time for not being ‘motivated’, this is a gentle, honest check-in with how to move through the fog — without trying to bypass it.
🧠 Topics Covered:
-
How to tell helpful worry from unhelpful looping
-
Checking in with your inner team for grounded decision-making
-
The surprising wisdom in wallowing (with an exit strategy)
-
Why rest isn’t laziness
-
Getting out of self-pity spirals with self-compassion
